Back to School Time!
It’s that time of year when the weather turns cooler, the leaves start to change color, and the kids go back to school! That’s right, it’s back to school time in the Wilkins’s house.
My oldest started 2nd grade last week, and my youngest will be starting pre-kindergarten this week. So I’ve been in school mode for a week and a half. It’s such a busy time of year trying to get all of the school supplies, uniforms (for one kid, at least), and schedules figured out.
I love being able to have my kids go to school and interact with other kids. We’re at a smaller school so my oldest has been with some of the same kids since kindergarten. It’s nice for me, too, because I’ve gotten to know some of the parents. I feel it’s so important to meet the other parents and make connections with them, especially when you’re in a smaller school setting. You’ll be with them for quite a while!

Now that my kids will be in school, my editing schedule opens up a little more. At the end of September, I’ll have some spaces opening up in October – December. I’d love to help someone out, whether it’s beta reading or proofreading or full-on editing services. Hopefully, for those authors who have kids in school, this opens up a little more time for you to create and do a hobby that you love. Remember to take time for yourself. That goes for anyone, not just moms. We all are allowed a little pleasure in life.
